Tribal Fusion has evolved from American Tribal Style as founded by Carolena Nerriccio of Fat Chance Belly Dance.
American Tribal Style (or ATS) is an unique form of dance that is improv based. It is like language....though there may be regional dialects-a dancer from New York-should be able to improv just fine with a dancer from Seattle.Ats is almost entirely group oriented.
Then the soloist began to emerge. Rachel Brice is widely accredited as one the first Tribal Fusion performers.The movements became more muscular and serpent like.
Tribal Fusion caught the imaginations of women across the world-and has become a deeply sought after dance form.
