Savannah Demers


Savannah grew up on the rennaisance faire circut as a child and teen singer and songwriter, and has been exposed to bellydance from a very young age. While very inspired by dance, and a former step student and historical dance enthusiast,she did not pursue instruction in bellydance until age 17. After about a year and a half of self instruction through dvds and virtual studios, she began seeking out instruction with the areas greatest talent, and has had the honor of learning under Haji, Vivian Parham (of Astoria), Kendra Searls, and Cindy Moonbear. She is currently studying American Caberet with Nefabit Miew and Egyptian / folkloric dances with Aisha Azar. Her Workshop roster includes Medea, Shanner Escalanti of Tangled Roots, Sabah, Pettite Jamilla, Katrina McCoy, and Magidah of Portland.She is interested in further hip hop instruction, as well as adult ballet. .
